This project reflects the creation of a tough vibrant contemporary urban house with a 60's flavour.
This family house is carefully planned to provide fluid relationships between the rooms and volumes within a modest and welcoming scale. Organised by a central stair, the plan provides a collection of spaces interlocking to create an abstracted pin wheel junction connected across three levels. This central circulation creates a feeling of space and generosity.
The home celebrates the beauty of steel as cladding, roofing and structure. The project succeeds in presenting a contemporary architecture in an established suburb, in a material more often associated with industrial and commercial contexts.
