DIRECTOR
An urban designer and lawyer, Elisabeth has extensive experience working in the public and private sectors on projects related to planning, land release, urban development and affordable housing. Her diverse career has given her a unique insight into the creation and implementation of urban policy, and ‘on the ground’ industry responses.
Elisabeth is a skilled communicator and is adept at stakeholder engagement on sensitive and significant projects. She enjoys working with the community, industry and government and has a reputation for authenticity, clarity and professionalism.
She has undertaken stakeholder engagement on a range of projects including consultation on the Kingston Arts Precinct, Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services new health facility, the Boomanulla Oval Strategic Concept Plan, Kippax Fair alternative master plan, the Northbourne Plaza Community Design Brief, the City and Northbourne Urban Design Framework and the Capital Metro Pedestrian and Cycle network.
Elisabeth has a Master of Urban Design and a Master of Urban Policy Strategy (with Excellence). She has been an Independent Member of the City Renewal Authority Design Planning and Public Realm Committee and a Director of the YMCA Canberra Board. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Law and Asian Studies (Japanese) from the Australian National University with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was a Finalist in the ACT Telstra Young Business Women’s Awards in 2008.
Elisabeth is a former Executive Director of the Housing Industry Association ACT/Southern NSW Region. She was a Senior Manager in the ACT Government Economic Development Directorate responsible for affordable housing policy and in 2011 she acted for three months as Senior Adviser to Chief Minister Jon Stanhope. Prior to that, Elisabeth was in-house legal council to the HIA, working in federal lobbying and policy development.
